Fundamental to wills are witnesses who can testify if required. Despite lobbying efforts, wills must be witnessed in person. Witnesses stand at least six feet from the testator, who declares “This is my will”.
Deeds to real property, powers of attorney, and trusts must be notarized. Notaries have implemented sound physical distancing and handling procedures.
